Hi,
I installed and licensed the trial of XProtect Go V2.0a.
When I try to connect to the server with the XProtect smart client I am getting this error.

Server address : http://localhost/
Authentication : Basic authentication
User name : admin
password : admin (default)

Error : Failed to connect. Check the server address.

I am local on the same machine as the recording server so I don't understand why localhost doesn't work?

This make two of us. iI tried adding a basic user with a simple password, but nothing I try helps. It may be a firewall issue but I turned it off just to try but nothing worked. I have used Go for a couple years now but this is a new install on XP because it's an older server.

To confirm the image server service is running? Also under server access the port listed is port 80?

I found my problem. I had to add the name of my server after local host in the address bar. I believe the default is Server. I had renames mine in the management Application. Go to management app, open the advanced tab on the left pane and click on Server access and remember the name of your server and add after the localhost/ on the login screen,
