Hi, I am using windows 7 64 bit and installed XPROTECT GO 2013. I did an auto setup giving the IP and PORT and the dll came as "PSIA CONFIRMED DEVICE".
However when I navigate to SURVEILLANCE SERVER -> ADVANCED CONFIGURATION -> CAMERA AND STORAGE INFORMATION and click on camera 1 I get "Connection error on "Camera 1""!
My camera is fully operational using HIKVISION WEB INTERFACE and hence the IP and PORT is working!
Can somebody help me troubleshoot this one?

This HikVision should have a dedicated dedicated driver, and I would guess it would work better. Try to remove the camera and then add is this time try to pick the HikVision8x3 driver instead of using auto-detect. If I had not been able to spot that you most likely have the wrong driver I would have directed you to this very general knowledge base article.. http://www.milestonesys....base/?articleNo=00000169 |

Tried that as well... no luck Tried 1. Manually enter IP ADDRESS 2. Entered the ip and port + user / pswd + selected HIKVISION8X3 Get message: Unable to connect! The PORT / USERNAME AND PASSWORD is correct - the web interface of hikvision works flawlessly with these parameters Edited by user Tuesday, May 6, 2014 4:33:02 AM(UTC)

can you check the below - - Check the firmware on the camerais the tested - 5.0.0 build 130412
- No firewall and AV enabled on the server (if enabled - create exception for the Hikvision camera and ports 80 and 554)
This device has been supported since device pack 6.9 - please check the device pack installed on your system

Here is how I set up my Hikivision and similar camera. Add hardware manually, enter static IP, Port, username, password, universal 1 ch driver. Once the device is connected, see attached picture for final device options to configure for live stream.
