Hello,

we can´t establish a connection thrue the milestone device detection to some new cameras. Xprotect found all via network scan, detects the correct driver (onvif) and stop the installation with the reason "wrong password or username".

The username and passwords are correct, browser login is sucsessfull. also we factory reset the devices, we use different kind of password, only letters, only lowcase, only numbers.

xprotect detects the cameras correct, but says the login is wrong; allways.

any ideas about this behavior ?

best regardes,

oliver

Oliver,

I think the problem you describe here is the same as in thread http://forum.milestonesys.com/yaf_postst24495_Camera-Password-declared-as-wrong-also-in-xprotect-essential.aspx

(it is a problem in the device pack rather than in the application, and XProtect Essential and Go! use the same device pack)

Best regards,
Torsten

I have the same problem with Xprotect Go and Axis 240Q, when clicking the link in previous post I can't see the post. I have the latest device pack and the latest firmware in the 240Q.
I also have an Axis 232 and that camera had no problems during installation. The Q240 is showing up on auto detected but says wrong username an password but I am sure they both are correct. The computer is running 64bit Windows 8.1 pro.

Also having the same problem with a 360 Vision Predator. Have installed the latest device pack but it made no difference. The password works perefectly when I connect to the camera via internet explorer.

I've even tried creating a new user with admin rights on the camera but it still doesnt work through milestone, but it works fine when connecting directly to the camera.

I have checked the times and all are syncronised.

Mmh, any guesses what is wrong would simply be, well, guesswork... One thing is sure, though: The Device Pack 7.5 has been found to have issues and was replaced by v7.6.

Could you try this one, please?

Same fur us, upgraded to device pack 7,6 during installation. I have googled this issue and it looks like the the problem is not present if running windows 7 but that s not an issue for us as we just have bought a new computer with windows 8,1. Until this is solved we have to keep the old computer with XP and Xprotect Basis 6,0 for the Axis 240Q.

Sorry for pointing this out: Milestone support a cam called "360 Vision IP Dome". No sign of a predator on the supported HW list.

My Microseven MS1B was working fine until I had to re-add it. Now I am having this exact same issue. I have tried removing the password from the cameras admin account, and saving all the usual camera username and passwords within xprotect, but to no avail. What can be done?

Well, "Microseven" is not on the list of supported hardware, so it is limited what you can do:
- try to disable audio
- try to use an older version of the Device Pack
- try the Universal Driver or Fast Universal Driver

Good luck,
Torsten

P.S. Why did you have to "re-add" the cam? Has anything in your installation changed? Try to undo the change.
