In the installation, after setup of the SQL server, the setup asks me to connect to a transact database or create one. In that it asks me for Logon ID and password. I have tried every possibility it doesnt letme continue.

Says "Login Failed for user"
What id and password do i need to put in?

Dear Anurag,

Remember that XProtect Transact uses the SQL server for authentication, the [sa] account.

If you create a new database then it will setup that [sa] user on the Database.
This has to be the SQL 2005 express that comes with XProtect Transact.

If you are installing to a existing database e.g. SQL 2008, SQL 2012 then the [sa] account is disabled by default.
To enable this you will have to log on to the SQL server using the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

- Are you installing to the SQL 2005 that comes with Transact?
- And do you have a previous database you would like to use or not?

Kind Regards
