hello, I have Xprotect Professional 8.5e.

I would like the software send email to me when motion is detected in a defined camera.

The smtp service is running.


I don't understand how to connect the motion detection with the mail notification.

This is quite simple:
* First you setup the Notifications -> Email, and Test it does send an email.
* Then, you setup a "Hardware Input Event" to trigger on "Built-in motion detection from [your camera]", and select "Send email when this event occurs"

I was wrong because I was trying to make a custom event...


Ok, May I ask you if it is possible to send emails to different recipients, depending on the camera motion detection?

Hi,i have Xprotect professional software and i want to set the Notification email, i want to test this before giving it to our client so I'm using trial version. But when i tried to follow the manual and go to "Notification and right click Email" it says "communication with the notification service failed. Check the log files for details". The Notification server service is started and set to automatic. But i cant connect or configure anything on Notification Email/SMS. Please help.
