I installed XProtect Go and changed the recording path from c:\ to another drive. Images are being successfully stored on the other drive but the Windows\Temp directory rapidly expands with many .tmp files. All files are 305 KB in size. Within in a few days the directory accumulates almost 20 GB in files that I have to delete manually.

Any suggestions on what is causing this?

I tried XProtect Go a couple of years ago on a different computer and I eventually discontinued using it because of the same problem.

Thanks for any help.

I resolved the problem. An unknown hardware device was detected during automatic hardware detection. Even though this device had also been set up to record to another drive it was apparently the cause of the creation of all of the .tmp files on the local system c:\ drive. Once disable/removed the .tmp file creation stopped.
