How do you enable "sound notifications" on motion detect?

The manual says there should be an alarm menu in the advanced configuration, but I cannot find it.

I can't find it in the management software nor the smart client.

TIA.

Hey Chris,

If you want to customize the sound then its a Professional and up feature I believe.

If you just want "a" sound on event then please see the below KB.

Kind regards

Thanks Justin. For some reason, I still cannot find "Sound on Event" in the left pane. In Smart Client, I go into setup mode. In the left pane under System Overview, I can find all of my cameras.

From there, I click on any camera and nada.

The left pane has four sections - Views/System Overview/Overlay Buttons/Properties.

Thanks!

Chris

ah it should be listed under the properties section. (on Smart Client 2014) "Sound on motion detection" and "sound on event"
Kind regards

That's what I thought after your initial reply. But, I am seeing nothing in the 'Properties' pane. It says "no properties" under that pane.

Any thoughts on that?

Thanks for your help!

Well I have the below, although to be fair I'm on an enterprise, let me dig out my trusty go install and confirm, maybe its a version limitation.

Well unless that properties box just need clicking on to expand it.

That could be the reason. Appreciate you taking the time to check.
