Hi,

I have 360 degree camera installed on XProtect GO 2014, the "360 degree Lens" is enabled.
I need to export some footage of this camera as Smart Client format in order to be able, later on, to playback WITH ptz feature enabled!

Please help as soon as possible since the retention period is limited to 5 days only!
Thanks
Michael

I'm afraid this is not possible with the free XProtect Go, as it does not allows for exporting in native XProtect format (which will give you all the Playback features of the Smart Client)

For this to work you need to go 1 step up to the XProtect Essential. When installed, this will inherit the entire current configuration and open up for the additional features.

I do believe you can even trial-upgrade to the Essential by installing on top of the existing installation. This should give you 30 days to try it out.

More information on features etc. in http://www.milestonesys....%20August%205%202014.pdf

Thanks Michael,

I downloaded Essential and install it over GO, but when I opened management client it still XProtect GO!
Also I opened Smart Client but the export feature still the same (i.e. there is no Smart Client Format exist)
Thanks

Ah well. If you look at the Essential- and the Go-Installer, you will find they are identical to the very last bit... So obviously, upgrading is not done by re-installing.

Upgrading (and downgrading) is simply done by importing a new license into the existing installation and a restart. The binaries remain the same within the Professional family (Go, Essential, Express, Professional, Enterprise).

Rgds,
Torsten
