Since the initial install some months ago we have had a persistent memory leak in the NSI service being run by svchost on the management server (the recording servers do not show any issues)

We're running an Axis only environment using Xprotect Expert 7.0c build 836

One of the svchost processes continually grabs memory and process explorer shows it running NSI. A quick google shows me that a Microsoft hotfix is available at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2847346 and its seems like a probable cause.

Has anyone come across this before?

I see that there is a hotfix from Milestone for "high memory use"

Hi Mike,

We have no direct relation to the Windows NSI service, and no reports have involved this. But it's true that in rare conditions, we have had a memory leak in the Management Server components, which were fixed with the mentioned Milestone Hotfix.
This is also included in the latest Corporate 7.0 D release, and I recommend updating the systems with this, if the Microsoft patch does not fix the issue.
Best regards,

Michael W.
