In version 2017 R3, AAC audio support is added. It is possible connect a AAC stream with universal driver via RTSP? In available audio codec on microphone properties is not listed. I am using a Professional+ with device pack 9.4
At this point the Universal driver does not support AAC. It is unfortunately not on the roadmap of features planned in the next driver pack.
It is to be regretted that the Universal driver does not support AAC in future.I have test the devicepack 9.5,it still does not support AAC.
It is a innovation in brocasting industrial if the milestone can connect AAC stream with universal driver via RTSP,because In the brocasting industrial, there is many video device connect to milestone via the universal driver only.If the milestone support the AAC via RTSP, I can get the stream of brocasting camera or encorder.
Unfortunately this is not in the pipeline in Milestone Development.
If you have a very large business case maybe you can talk with your Milestone Sales representative.
