Add massive event on smartclient map?

Hello,

We have over 15,000 event need to add on smartclient map.

Is there a way to do this through plugin instead of only manually via element selector?

Could you advise a sample or provide one? Thank you.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no API for populating the Smart Client Map. There is one for populating the Smart Map, but that one currently does not support events, so that will not help you either.

so what does this mean when it says to create new events?

“in protocol integration of the mip sdk documentation, there is a analytics and MAD event protocol for creating new events.”

what does the quoted mean? can it also be used for the same purpose mentioned in the original question?

This is about triggering events in the system (so the text ‘creating new events’ might be slightly misleading depending on what is understood by ‘creating’).

thanks for the response. so by creating can i take it that it refers to creating events for events that already defined within the system and not literally creating brand NEW events for the system?

Correct. ‘Creating’ here actually means triggering events that has previously been created in the system.
