AI Bridge 2.0.5 – Now Publicly Available

We’re pleased to announce that AI Bridge version 2.0.5 is now officially released.

You can access it via the Milestone’s Amazon Public ECR

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to trying it out.

Are the Github pages you linked supposed to be accessible for the general public? They don’t appear to be for me.

Also, is this the only place for getting these official links? From Google, the official documentation links to v1.7, with no links to AWS or anywhere else. As someone coming into this pretty fresh, it’s not very easy to find information about the bridge, where to download it, how to install it etc. While I’m happy this release is posted in a public forum, it feels really difficult to get to the official documentation.

I appreciate that the AWS Helm repo does link to HTML5 which appears to be official, but searching for “AI Bridge” on the official Milestone documentation site just has a single PDF, which has a link to 1.7 documentation.

Hi @bevans_vc,

I’ll try to provide some answers and also to get ask some questions.

Answers:
1 - “Are the Github pages you linked supposed to be accessible for the general public?”

A: Not really, the AI Bridge source-code is not open-source.
What is fully open-source is the “Connectivity-Sample”, which can be seen here:
MIP-AIBridge-samples/apps/golang/connectivitysample at main · milestonesys/MIP-AIBridge-samples

2 - “Is this the only place for getting these official links?”
A: Currently yes, we take this feedback into account on whether to create an official land page for it.

3 - " I appreciate that the AWS Helm repo does link to HTML5 which appears to be official, but searching for “AI Bridge” on the official Milestone documentation site just has a single PDF, which has a link to 1.7 documentation."
A: The links are currently pointing to 2.0.5. Can you please refresh your browser’s cache.

Questions:
1 - “From Google, the official documentation links to v1.7, with no links to AWS or anywhere else.” Can you provide these links ? to see if they are hosted by us and needs to be updated/removed.

Thank you for replying.

An incognito session searching for “Milestone AI Bridge” in Google deep links to the 2024 documentation: Milestone AI Bridge - I believe this is for version 1.7.

Clicking on the installation part of this directs to https://catalog.ngc.nvidia.com/ , which I don’t think host the bridge anymore.

If instead, you go to Milestone Documentation Portal (Official documentation I believe?) and type in “AI Bridge”, there is 1 result, which is a PDF.

The PDF on Page 2 has another link to the “Documentation Portal”, which goes to the same as the Page 1 Google Result (AI Bridge 1.7).

The only way I can seem to get to the official documentation is:

  • Google “AI Bridge”
  • Go to the 6th result, which is the Amazon ECR Public Gallery
  • Click the usage tab
  • Follow the link to Milestone Portal documentation

I think at the very least, it would be useful in the official documentation site to link to the current 2.x/3.x documentation?
