I’m trying to set up ai bridge 3.0.1 with xprotect professional 2026 R1 vms. both the hosts for vms and ai-bridge are running in the same corporate network.
Upon bringing up the ai bridge stack with compose, the init container keeps throwing error and doesnot exit.
ERRORS-

Error configuring endpoint: 500 Internal Server Error”}
These are the steps I followed.
install vms (unsecure)
install plugin. processing server is visible in management client now.
create a basic user, add it to AI bridge role
on a linux host, download ai bridge resources. set up the env for compose deployment
bring up the ai bridge stack.
I’ve attached some of the logs. Can you please help here?
Unfortunately the error is not very descriptive on these kind of scenarios, but we have seen this in the past and it could be due to a few reasons. I’ll provide some guidelines to find out what could be happening here.
AI Bridge starts and connects to the VMS;
It registers itself as a service;
Triggers a syncronization process to get all the recording servers and devices available;
The Recording Server (ecgdvmsm) responds faulty, either with a 500 error or an empty JSON that is expected by AI Bridge.
What can we check and try:
Ensure the Recording Server at ecgdvmsm is up and running and there are no related logged errors (usually located at C:\ProgramData\Milestone\XProtect Recording Server\Logs)
AI Bridge role misconfigured - not allowed to get this Recording Server configuration nor devices: to bypass it, asign your AI Bridge basic user to the Administrator role and stop/start your AI Bridge again. If it works, try recreating the AI Bridge role once again and ensure it can access this Recording Server and Hardware/cameras.
