AlarmServiceToken : InvalidAuthentication

I’m using AlarmServiceToken webservice in a cluster of corporate Xprotect environment.

I’m testing this scenario:

  • retrieve token from ServerCommandService
  • retrieve alarm list from AlarmServiceToken

On node 1, the scenario is working well.

On node 2, i got token correctly but when i want to retrieve alam list, i’ve got the following error:

InvalidAuthentication

Behind, there is the same ActiveDirectory for handling user/password authentication.

I guess there is a bad configuration but i don’t know how to resolve my problem.

Do you have any idea?

One tip/guess -

https://developer.milestonesys.com/s/article/SmartClient-user-can-neither-see-maps-nor-alarms

Do you see any issues when using alarms and similar in the Smart Client?

Alarm are working well in smartclient. I can see all alarms and update them to acknowledge or close.

Hi bo, we’ve read articles and we had investigated. So we have some useful informations.

We have a cluster of XMS. Each cluster node has 3 network interfaces (2 physicals - admin and regular - and 1 virtual interface for cluster address).

When event server is configured on 1 physical address (the admin one), it works correctly.

When event server is configured on virtual address or the another physical address, we’ve got “InvalidAuthentication” error message.

As we have a cluster, we don’t wan’t configure physical network interface but we prefer configuring virtual address.

Do you have any idea to help us?

I know you are a partner. Can you please open a support case and document your findings? I will persuade one of my colleagues with experience in dealing with cluster setup to assist in troubleshooting.
