So the company I work for is expanding our camera network, and I am actually going to have to build 2 new servers since they are different locations, the current server I have runs about 16 cameras, the specs are:
amd 1600
16 gigs of ram
nvidia 710 video card
1 250 gig ssd
3 2tb western digital reds
which I plan on building a replica of that for one of the locations due to it having to run another 16 cameras, but instead of using reds I plan on using 4tb western digital blacks.
but at the other location we are only going to be running about 4 cameras, so I was looking over the specs and server suggestions but I was thinking how would a AMD APU system work with using 4tb? I would have a APU, 16 gig ram, a ssd and a western digital black, we will be using IP cameras.
