I would like to view a smart client layout over multiple screens. (For example a 2x2 videowall with 55" monitors)
It seems that the smart client layout is limited to only a single screen resolution. Where the camera image will not exceed the boundaries of the screen.
Has anybody seen this problem or know a solution. Please let me know.
You can stretch the main window and floating windows of the Smart Client over multiple monitors. You can use multiple windows and utilize multiple monitors in this way. Maximized views will always maximize to fill out one monitor.
I suppose that stretching the view you can achieve what you want.
This is not really an integration development question, perhaps more partners will share their experience if you use the general support community. - https://force.milestonesys.com/support/MccSupportCommunity
Hello Mr. Andersen,
Thanks. I tried that already, but the videostreams stay max size of one monitor. But maybe it is a setting somewhere.
NB: I try to call you on the phone. Got the number from a colluegue of yours
Do the simplest test possible. Open a Smart Client, open a view with one camera, make sure it is not maximized, take hold of the edge of the Smart Client application and drag/stretch until you have it over two or multiple monitors. There is no magic.
I wanted to send a screen capture of this but none of my screen captures can give you the view-point that show how multiple monitors are involved.
bottom image shows same scale of videostream. but black bar on the side. I would like a scaled version of the stream.
Please note this is nothing releated to developing integrations using the MIP SDK. You would propably have been much better helped by partners active on the Support Community. - https://force.milestonesys.com/support/MccSupportCommunity
Ok this helps. Now still one issue. I can stretch over the desktop of the PC, but the width of the smartclient will not be more then the desktop size. So with a 1920x2160 I can stretch 2160 but not more then 1920.
Any way, thanks for your help so far
With my two monitor setup I could easily make a 3800 pixels wide Smart Client and camera item. I wonder if there is something special, perhaps even wrong, about your Windows monitor setup. Please continue with support and/or the Support Community
