Can Milestone store card holders locally?

Hello,

We’re working on an integration to milestone xprotect for our access control company and the people we’re using are stating that milestone cannot store users locally but only an in memory cache. This obviously creates problems if you have 5000+ card holders and for any reason the system needs to be rebooted then they all have to get fetched again. Can anyone confirm if milestone cannot store card holders locally?

In the Access framework the requests for card holders go to the Event Server plug-in. It would be possible to develop the Event Server plug-in to create and maintain a local cache of card holders rather than always ask the Access system. This might be more complex to implement but should be possible.
