Say i have plugin developed and registered it with xml in “MIP plugin management” page, and issuing licenses for the same. Can some other partner, whom i am not known of, register the same plugin under their account and issue license (ie., sell my plugin without my knowledge) ?
If i haven’t registered my plugin under “MIP plugin management” page at-all in first place, can someone else hi-jack my plugin and sell under their name by registering it, as anyone can generate xml info of plugin that’s needed to register it ?
Thanks
We are truly sorry, but we missed this post. I know it is probably not of interest to you any more, but as it might be relevant to others, let me answer now anyways:
A plugin can only registered once, so if you have already registered it, noone else can do it afterwards. However, if you have not yet registered someone else could do it before you (but we would know who it was and once you tried to do it yourself and realize it is already done, we could probably work it out together).
So we would recommend that if you are using MIP licensing you should register the plugin before releasing it publicly. I guess that is a good idea anyways as you will need to do that anyways as soon as someone wants to buy a license.
