I’m running XProtect Expert 2014 7.0d. When I try to download, even 10 seconds, of stored video I get “There is not enough free disk space on the server to complet the export.” when there is terabytes of free space.
The issue happens on all users, including admins, all cameras, and regardless if you’re using the web interface or logged directly onto the server.

When you mention the Web interface, I assume you mean the Mobile Server ?
If this is the case, the Mobile Server stores it’s video export in the default path %ProgramData%\Milestone\Milestone Mobile Server\Exports, which can (should) be changed from the Management Client → Mobile Server → Investigations settings
In addition to what Michael suggested, I also had to open the Milestone Management Client, expand the “Servers” group, click “Mobile Server”, and then change the “Limit size of investigations folder to:” to have a much larger size (I used 50000MB).
A follow-up question to this… I’m on the 2019 R3 version, and both the “Log File location” as well as the “Investigations folder” are greyed out and cannot be changed. Any idea how I can change the location for either of these?
The easiest way to change the Investigations folder is to do it from the mobile server itself. It is located in the right click menu of the Mobile Server Manager Tray Icon. It may require you to relaunch the mobile manager as admin.

Just as a note for anyone else in this situation: When I first tried to change the path it gave me a message stating “The requested operation requires a connection to a surveillance server”
In order for this message to clear and for me to be able to actually change the path, I had to load the security certificate under “Edit Certificate” for the Mobile Server. Once the certificate was loaded, I was able to change the path without any errors.
