I have XProtect Professional 2014.
I set up Master / Slave and didn’t know at setup that I should not install mobile server on the slave server.
I cannot see cameras on the slave server when I am logged into the moble server connected to the main server.
I disabled the mobile server on the slave but still cannot see the cameras.
What is the easiest way to rectify this so I can log into main mobile server and see cameras connected to slave. (Note, I can see Master and Slaver server fine from Smart Client. I have admin access configured the same for users on both Master and Slave).
Thanks
Hi Larry,
Please refer to this KB Article for this scenario:
A user reports their Smart Client can see the slave cameras but when logging into the Mobile or Web Client can only see the masters cameras.
As with any Slave Camera issue you checked to see that the slave computers have the same users/passwords as the master server.
The Firewalls are off on all the machines.
Only one Mobile Server is installed on the Master system.
Solution:
Make sure to check the slave servers to see if Mobile was installed.
In some cases, the Mobile Server can get installed with the VMS Software package and not show a Mobile Server entry in the Programs and Features, or Programs(Uninstall a Program).
Go to Control Panel> Programs and Features or Programs(Uninstall a Program).> select the Milestone XProtect VMS software> click on Change> select the Change one or more Milestone Components> you will see check marks in the boxes of the installed components.
If one of the components is the Mobile Server, uncheck the Mobile Server and click on Continue.
Once the software is uninstalled, go back to the Master Server machine and restart the Mobile Server Service.
Log into the Web Client to see if the Slave Cameras are now visible.
