Client Streaming Box

Hi,

Is there a client streaming box available that can connect to an Xprotect VMS ? We are looking for something like a small streaming box or rack style to output the camera stream to a monitor with an analog or digital feed (vide decoder style).

In this case, we cannot use a PC that will run the Xprotect Smart Client.

Milestone XProtect does not contain anything like this.

I am not aware of any Milestone partner offering this and I could not find any offering in the solution finder: https://www.milestonesys.com/community/business-partner-tools/partner-add-ons

Now if we are lucky there is a Milestone partner reading this who offer something like that.. (If you read this and have solution please let us know.)

There might be partners active on the Support Community that offer something like this so perhaps you can ask there.

Is the Milestone Mobile client (iOS version) compatible with the Apple TV device? It is an iOS device, so is there any chance the App might be running on it?

Milestone will introduce a DLNA server in 2017R3 version (general availability: October 5). I guess using this it will be a possible solution for you.

You cannot use the iOS app for this.

Well I have tried running the Milestone Mobile client (Android version) on an Android streaming​ box and the App is running. So that might the solution for us. I don’t have Apple TV device to try the iOS version but I am a little surprise that the App cannot be run on it.
