We have a project in Bosnia with Dahua mobile NVR and Milestone. They required 3G, WiFi and GPS, also panic button and audio communication with Milestone. When WiFi is detected automatically backup should be done . Also in the case of panic button, Dahua mobile NVR needs to established video, GPS and audio communication with Milestone. On the map they need to see position of the vehicle (GPS).
If these requested features are available in Milestone. Do you maybe have some idea, or maybe you can ask someone if this is possible on Milestone. For now I know Milestone has built in map, also it is compatible with our devices (ONVIF), but this is all what I know.

The build-in smart map in the Smart Client does not support live update of location, it does not do modify dynamically.
It would be possible to create a plugin with a dynamically updating map. In fact there is a sample in the MIP SDK that does this, try to explore the Smart Client Location View plugin sample.

If your NVR can be added as a device in XProtect with support for edge retrieval then edge retrieval being performed when the vehicle is on Wifi might solve all of the requirement on automated backup/transfer of video.
Last bit might be to have a source of location data, it is possible for Onvif devices to have a metadata channel with location data, i would suspect that you do not have this functionality in your NVR already, but if you have it would be perfect.
