Does driver commands only work against cameras?

When we try to use Driver Commands to communicate with a speaker we get “Unknown error: Unsupported by device”

We have tried with both the FQID of the Speaker and the FQID of the hardware device.

If we have a camera that has an internal speaker, we can use the FQID of the camera to communicate. But how do we communicate via driver commands with a standalone speaker?
