Driver Framework and Add Hardware/Express question

Hi,

I couldn’t find a Driver Framework section, so I posted here.

We are developing a custom driver for our hardware using the Driver Framework and are interested in supporting the “Express” choice in the “Add Hardware” wizard so that the user doesn’t have to manually enter the IP/port information.

Does the Driver framework expose any functionality for providing/implementing a custom discovery protocol?

Hi. Unfortunately, no it doesn’t. Please use “Manual“ choice in the “Add Hardware” wizard.
