Essential+ 2017 R2 Video Server need XProtect Client 2017 R2

Hello,

Is it required to match the Video Server and XProtect Client versions. Can they be different? Please let me know.

Yes, they can be different.

Some prefer to use the same client version as the XProtect VMS, some prefer to use the newest clients even if the VMS is not the newest. I personally might be inclined to use the newest client..
