Events, alarms in general.

Hello everyone,

I can’t find enough informations about events and alarms in Milestone environment.

Im wondering what exactly events are… manual events,generic events, analytics, user-defined.

How they’re refers to Xprotect? Which version of Xprotect (Enterprise, Pro, Corporate etc.) I have to use to be able to :

1. Trigger alarm, events or whatever from MIP SDK / SmartClient / Managament app.

2. Receive an event from MIP SDK.

I’ve add alarm definition and i can’t retrieve it from MIP SDK :confused:

Could someone explain me all above?

And please tell me what is the difference between PRO - Corporate - Enterprise.

I would like to recommend you to look at the SDK sample “Analytics Event trigger via MIP .Net library”

Analytics events canbe used to trigger alarms directly.
