I believe I’ve done everything right here however I’m still not getting any emails
Here are the steps I followed
- Open XProtect Management Client
- Go to Tools > Options > Mail Server and enter mail server settings
- Go to Rules and Events > Notification Profiles and set an email up to receive events. Also verify it’s working by clicking test email and waiting to receive the test email.
- Go to Rules and Events > Time Profiles and add a new time profile. I’ve set it up to be daily between 12am to 11pm, with no end date.
- Go to Devices > Cameras and select a camera then go to the Events tab
- Add the type of events you want. In my example I put motion started, loitering vehicle, direction vehicle and crossline vehicle and made sure they were all enabled
- Go to Rules and Events, Rules and click Add Rule
- Click Perform an Action on event. Click on which event you want, in my case I chose Motion Started, and select the camera you want to associate it to (the same camera I set up the events for in step 5). Check the Active box and hit next
- Click Within Selected time and set the Time Profile set up earlier and hit next
- For the action to perform, check the box ‘Send notification to profile’ and select the notification profile set up earlier as well use image and sound to be “use triggering device” and hit next
- Set ‘no actions performed on rule end’ and click finish
Despite all this I’m still not getting any events to my email. Did I miss a step?
