Forum login feedback

When I go to login to the forum I see “Welcome back” and a button labeled “with OpenID Connect”. That should probably say something like “Login to My Milestone” or really just take me to the login page since that’s the only option anyway.

and then because I probably haven’t logged in with this account in a while but still had a valid cookie / token, I get a “Welcome” page where I need to choose a username. So I wasn’t quite logged in, didn’t quite have an account, but didn’t need to authenticate, and didn’t have the opportunity to authenticate using a different account without going in and deleting cookies.

There’s also some text here saying “Your email has been authenticated by OpenID Connect” which presumably means the forum has, through OIDC, transparently authenticated me using my My Milestone account. But the text should probably not mention OIDC. It would make more sense to say “Your email has been authenticated by My Milestone” or something of that nature.

It’s also not possible to logout and login with a different account. I know there aren’t a lot who would be affected by this and the experience is probably fine if you have one account, but if you logout in the forum, the account should probably be logged out upstream as well. Or when you click login, you should land on a page where you can click “Login as Josh” or “Not you?” and if you click “Not you?”, you would be taken to the My Milestone login page where you could login with a different account.

Thank you, Josh, your input is appreciated and we will be looking into making the improvements you suggest.
