I am developing an integration with a PTZ keyboard with XProtect Client. In order to implement viewitem selection and related commands, it is possible to know which viewitem is selected also if is empty or not a camera?

The GetSelectedCameraRequest will return the FQID of the currently selected camera and will return null if the viewitem selected is not a camera (plug-in, blank ao.).
You can see this if you use the Message Tester tool plugin sample (in debug mode for the details).
Thank you for you answer. Unfortunately GetSelectedCameraRequest cannot fit our requirements. As the user can iterate viewitem with joystick, we need to know which item is selected, in order to fill with a content. Or, on other way, find a command similar to SendCameraInViewCommand that can set on current selected item.
I wonder if you can keep track of this using the
SelectedCameraChangedIndication
and/or
SelectedViewChangedIndication
