We would like our plug-in Launch a View that is found in the Smart-Client Menu of Views, or go to a tab at the top of the Smart-Client as if it were clicked on.

Can this be done?

Yes.

Both are shown by the Smart Client View and Window Tool sample.

Tips. Multi Window tab (SetViewInWindow), Workspaces tab.

Just to be sure. What we would like is:

Have our plug-in in the open view: ‘RedText(2x2)’ open different view
as if the user clicked on the view on the left side … such as ‘LatestAlarm2’ circled in green.

I believe my answer is correct. It seems you have a graphics here that I cannot see, I see a .jpg text. If you have tried the sample and have a picture that could help me understand what you observed please try again to update and let me see..
