I have a few customers using our Access Control module for S2 and they all have the same complaint that I can’t figure out how to solve:
How do we hide the unlicensed doors from the interface? Many customers will intentionally license only a handful of the doors but the Smart Client still shows them all with a ? icon for a state.
I believe you can. When you in the Management Client set up the Access Control system you have a Doors and Associated Cameras tab, it is here you associate cameras to the doors, here you also have the option to enable or disable a door.
That would make sense, but no. Even the doors that are NOT enabled on that tab show up in the Smart Client.
Having tried it now myself I can confirm your observation, even the doors that are not enabled show up in the SmartClient Access workspace. I will report this to Milestone Development and will let you know what happens.
There will be no hotfix for this but the abilty to hide disabled doors will be added as new functionality in a future version.
Hi James,
Ability to hide disabled doors in Smart Client will be available as part of 2017 R3 release. Thank you for raising the issue.
Best regards,
Milos
