How do I export archived video from hard drives at a computer without xprotect installed?

I have three hard drives with archived video from 3 different cameras. I want to export them onto a separate hard drive that will combine them into one viewable milestone file. I have done this before on the computer with Milestone Xprotect installed (through a remote login software, as I am located in a different area than that computer). I currently do not have access to that computer remotely but have the three hard drives in my possession. Is there any way I can do the export function on a local computer? Is there a viewer software I can download?

If I need to download Xprotect smart client to my local computer, what server address should I use? The local address or the address of the remote computer that is currently recording with smart client? I added myself as a user but cannot seem to enter in the appropriate server address to complete the download. I just need to be able to export the drives at my current location.

This is almost straight forward, and described in the Smart Client users manual, but here’s the short recipe:

  1. Install the Smart Client on the PC with access to the hard drives. Install from the Public installation page on your XProtect Server: (http://[Your XProtect Server]/Installation/default-en-US.htm) or from the Milestone Downloads (https://www.milestonesys.com/support/download-software/)
  2. From the Smart Client icon/shortcut, Open File localtion and start theSmartClient-Player.exe
  3. Import the cameras one-by-one (Open Database) using the small barrel symbol lower left corner
  4. When done, place the cameras in e.g. the 2x2 view
  5. Now, you can exit the setup mode and do playback
  6. Do the export per your requirements

Thank you
