How do I setup a metadata device in Milestone?

I what to setup a generic metadata device in Milestone in order to record metadata in the recorder from an external application using protocol integration.

I am quite familiar with the protocol integration to milestone.

My challenge is to configure the metadata device in the Milestone Server to receive the metadata.

Can you point me to an How To article?

If you want to send metadata via protocol, then you will have to develop your own driver with Driverframework;
