I’m trying to integrate a XPR fingerprint BIOC3 reader with Milestone, whereas triggers or alerts would appear in MS Client once access is granted or denied for a user who is trying to enter a particular door. What would I need to make this possible?
Let me ask you three questions.
Do you have or develop your own Access Control system?
Do you have your own Access Control system and have developed or is developing an Access Control plugin for integration with XProtect?
Do you seek to integrate without having an Access Control System and Access Control plugin, just having some functionality in Smart Client being signaled from the reader hardware?
We are using an XPR access control system with an EWS controller and BIOC3 V1 Wiegand biometric fingerprint reader
It sounds like you already have an access control system and have Access framework integration plugin. This means that if the reader is integrated with the access control system it will automatically work with XProtect, just like door panels or similar. How to integrate a new reader with your access control system is out of the scope MIP SDK.
If I have misunderstood the scenario, please elaborate on the setup.
