Is it possible to adjust the size of the Live Preview window on Maps?

Yes. Click on the preview and use the mouse to drag borders and resize.

There is no way to configure the live preview initial size.

There is no MIP SDK support, so you would not be able to develop a MIP plugin to control the sizes.
