Is it possible to retrieve the time spans/sequences present on the device edge storage?

I would like to retrieve the metadata (time spans) about available video first, then download interesting video using RetrieveEdgeStorage.

I have tried to call SequencesGet using the edge track id as a device id, this fails.

The camera is using ONVIF driver. Metadata for EdgeStoragePlayback is false, is this a problem?

No, what you ask is not possible.

The SequencesGet is a method that works for the Milestone db not for edge storage.
