Is it possible to update alarms type using the API?

I can trigger the alarm with the rest API. But I want to set the type.

How do I go about to set the type when triggering the alarm?

There is no way to update an Alarm, when first into the system it cannot be updated, only AlarmHistory includes data that should be updated to reflect the life cycle of an alarm.
