Issue with ModeChange on Floating window

Hi,

We observed different behavior in an earlier version of XProtect < 2023 r1 where changing the mode live/playback on a floating window affects the plugin live video on the main window.

We have used server carrousel, video preview, and message tester to check the behavior.

We have attached the XProtect SmartClient version and videos for your reference.

We expect the latest XProtect version behavior to be correct. When we change the mode from live to playback on the floating window, the main client Windows plugins should remain in live and wise verse.

Are there any fixes to older XProtect versions?

Looking at 2023R1 I see fixes that might be relevant. Can you please try to apply the patch and let me know if it does not solve the issue for you?

We applied a hotfix for 2022 R3, and the result is the same.

Floating window live/playback affects plugins in the main window.

2023 R1 and 2023 R2 behavior is correct and as expected.

Floating window live/playback does not affect plugins in the main window. Both can operate in individual modes.

I will need to reproduce the issue in order to report it as a bug, or by reproducing it I might realize a solution.

Can you please make a step by step description how I can, in the easiest way, reproduce the issue in a Smart Client 2022R3 using one or more MIP SDK samples?

Just use the server carrousel plugin in a view and open a floating window with the same view. Now change the mode from live to playback on the floating window, the main window sever carrousel plugin also changes the mode.

XProtect 2023 R1 and R2 behavior was correct; We expect the same to be in 2023 R3.

So we get a hotfix for older releases <= 2022 r3?

Maybe you have seen my previous post, but that was a wrong post, I am sorry but please ignore my previous comment that I deleted already.

Would it be possible for you and your customers to simply user the newer version of Smart Client?

If you have many different customers it might not be practical, but the general recommendation is to use the newest Smart Client. Please comment.
