Item Selector when Drag Item

Hi

I am currently developping a Plugin using SensorMonitor sample.

In the Smart Client when I drag a Map in a view i use the “puzzle” icon to add Plugin element on my Map. To do this, I have an Element selector to choose which items i want to drag on my map. This is very useful and it works very well.

But I want to get the same Item selector when Idrag my plugin in a view. For example if I have 2 items, I want to drag item1 in a view and item2 in another view.

How can I display this item selector when I drag my plugin i a view ?

Thanks for the help.

Best regards

Sorry but I fail to understand your question. Can you please explain following part -

“But I want to get the same Item selector when Idrag my plugin in a view. For example if I have 2 items, I want to drag item1 in a view and item2 in another view”? It would be great if you could make an illustrative drawing.

In the SensorMonitor sample, there is a Controller with Sensor item under the Controller.

In my plugin, controller is an external server and SensorItem are Intercom station. SO I have a server with Intercom station as child of the Server.

So when I drag the plugin in a view I want to display a selector in which I can select which intercom station item I want to put in the View.

Is it more clear for you ?

In fact when I drag my plugin in a view, at the moment the view displays " You are now running …" But i don’t want this. I want to select one IpStation who is a child of my server to put it in the view. And I want to select it in an Item selector to drag it on the view.

At the end, I will have one ipStation per view .

Thanks

Can you please take some screenshots or drawings for explaining your plugin? It is still confusing a bit for us because Sensor Monitor sample doesn’t have the message (“You are now running …”) in the plugin if you use it as it is.

Please give us drawings or screenshots for better understanding.

In fact, I have created an empty project and I use SensorMonitor as example to retrieve from it some parts of code.

I send you several screenshot. I home you will understand.

Thank you for sharing the pictures, the idea sounds very nice, but we don’t have the functionality unfortunately. We will put it on the wish-list for future enhancement development work. A prioritization needs to be made by Milestone Product Management, so it is not possible to say when, or even if, this will be developed.

Thanks for the answer.

In fact, this feature is available in another plugin that I have developped using Access Control Module. When you drag the Access Control plugin in a view, you are prompted to choose which door you want to insert in the view. That is why I want to do the same with this new plugin. I don’t really understand why it is available with ACM and not with basic plugin. Thanks

Thank you for your feedback, I put it on the wish-list for future enhancement development work.
