latest BoundingBoxMetadataProvider not work with XProtect 2024 R1

Hello,

We have an installation where the client wants see the metadata from 3 party on the live view, the customer currently uses the XProtect corporate 2024 R1.

Our metadata sender (created following the BoundingBoxMetadataProvider sample) cannot be seen on the “Add hardware” of XProtect.

We tried to use your BoundingBoxMetadataProvider sample and, while it is working on our demo version of Xprotect 2025 R2, it fails to find the hardware in the customer site.

We check all the other software that blocks communication (like firewall and antivirus) but it seems none block the communication.

How can we make the BoundingBoxMetadataProvider work on XProtect 2024 R1?

I guess and hope you did see and follow the instructions from the documentation. https://doc.developer.milestonesys.com/mipsdk/index.html?base=samples%2FComponentSamples%2FBoundingBoxMetadataProvider%2FREADME.html&tree=tree_2.html

Using the Add Hardware wizard, Manual option you must be using the MIP Driver. You do not see a specific BoundingBoxMetadataProvider.

Perhaps you are using this but get a failure to connect.(?) Please elaborate on what you observe while trying to add the BoundingBoxMetadataProvider as a device, any errors or similar are especially interesting..
