Metadata from camera vs metadata from MIP driver

Hello!

Is the data that can be sent via the Milestone component integration DLLs to the MIP Driver metadata device the same that can be sent by a camera metadata device (or can either send data the other can’t)?

In case cameras can send metadata the component integration DLL cannot, what are the relevant specifications?

The camera metadata will be stored in the server according to recording rules etc. There is no difference in the data that can be submitted whether it is MIP Driver or camera driver with metadata support.
