Metadata works in live not in Playback

Hi. We have a site (2020 R3) where the metadata is showing in live but not in playback for all cameras. I’ve copied over the MetadataLiveViewer Application and the MetadataPlayback Application to the site for tests. The MetadataLiveViewer app shows Metadata, but the MetadataPlaybackViewer gives an error as soon as one selects a metadata camera.

“file not found: xxx” where xxx is the PC.Domain name. Could you please shed some light on the possible cause for this? And would this error explain why we are not getting metadata in playback in the smart client. I am attaching some screenshots if it helps.

We tried to reproduce the issue but no success so far. We are wondering if there’s any special settings on your site, can you please tell us how to reproduce it?

And which version of MIP SDK are you using?

Also, can you please provide your MIP SDK logs?

Hello,

I was online together with Riian. We found something stunning:

  • in live, bounding boxes were shown
  • in playback, bounding boxes were not shown
  • export and play back in the SC player, bounding boxes are shown

Along with the error message from the Metadata Playback sample, I think we have enough reason to open a bug report.
