Milestone MIP SDK 2025 R1 - Compatibility with older VMS versions

Hi,

We’re currently upgrading our integration to use 2025 R1 MIP SDK. Kindly confirm the minimum version of Milestone VMS that is supported by the 2025 R1 MIP SDK? Also, are any older VMS versions still compatible with this SDK release?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Generally we recommend to use the newest MIP SDK always when developing. Generally will the solution you implement be forward compatible with the next future versions of the XProtect VMS. Generally will the solution you implement be backwards compatible with older versions of the XProtect VMS. Exceptions to this general rule of thump should be mentioned in the release notes.
