I am running Milestone Smart Client 2016 R3 a video wall configuration using two Samsung Monitors UD-E-B Series 55", in the back end I have I have a Dell T1700 with Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-1607 10M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 0.0 GT/s Intel® QPI. The machine also has a P1000 NVIDIA GPU. On each monitor we are running a 2x2 either fixed image or in carousel mode. We recently upgraded the GPU to the P1000 and would like to add two more monitors to those machines. However, we noticed that upgrading the video card did not helped because the machine cannot handled these many Smart Client sub-windows. We performed a stressed test adding a third monitor and the machine internal CPU is taking a huge load at 100%. We see that the NVIDIA GPU has no use.
P.S we are running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
My question is:
Is there a way to manage the CPU load balancing vs the GPU? Since the internal CPU is constantly at 85%-90% and the GPU is avg at 15%
Any thoughts?
