We’re currently implementing MIP SDK 2023 R2 across all project modules. Could you kindly provide information regarding the minimum compatible version of XProtect that ensures smooth operation without any problems or disruptions when using this SDK?
Is it accurate to say that MIP SDK 2023 R2 is compatible with XProtect versions starting from 2020 R1 and newer?
Just to note, we do make use of some of the latest API calls.

If new functionality is introduced and used, it will mean that there is functionality in the older XProtect VMS that is not supported.
I think we generally consider the MIP SDK to be the MIP Library, where Milestone does implement fallback methods behind the scenes. Using the protocols you will be responsible for using the methods fitting the XProtect VMS.
When you mention latest API calls; the API Gateway and the restful API was introduced in 2022R1.
