As I understand, the Mobile version is easier to develop front-end web browser clients that do not require ActiveX components and can be coded to be cross-browser supported. Is this correct? Will my XProtect Corporate license also cover the Mobile install as well? – Thanks
You are absolutely correct.
The Mobile Server gives you JPEGs in the size you ask for and thus integration work like a web browser client would be simpler.
With XProtect Corporate (and all other XProtect products) the Mobile Server is included at no extra cost, no licensing on the Mobile Server or Mobile Client is required. You could be using Mobile Clients or Milestone Web clients today without having done any integration work. The scenario will be the same if you have developed web browser clients or other forms of integration utilizing the Mobile Server; no extra cost for the Mobile Server or client licenses.
