We are looking at using the mobile video server, and I had a couple of questions about its functionality.
- Is it doing transcoding?
- What codes are supported? H264, H265? Are these supported for live and recorded video?
- Is it using a websocket?
- Would the mobile server be capable of supporting a client that wanted to display live video of 16 streams simultaneously?
- Is it possible to stream recorded video, or is it live only?
- Is it possible to pause and resume live video?
- Is it possible to get video that is near live? (30 second near live for example?)
If you have Milestone XProtect VMS installed with Mobile Server you should try to open the webclient, it will give you an immediate view of the capabilities.

I do not know whether Milestone XProtect Mobile Server uses websocket but all other questions here can be answered in the positive.
