ONVIF BRIDGE NETWORK SERVER

Hi All,

Can someone please confirm the following,

  1. Is there any ONVIF player is available where client can see multiple streams (16 streams) at a time like milestone video client via ONVIF Network Bridge Server?
  2. Suppose I have 4000 cameras and I want to limit the operator to view only 16 streams at a time on ONVIF Device Manager. How this can be achieved?

Hi Elivert,

  1. We don’t have a specific milestone video client for Open Network Bridge. As a workaround I was thinking that you could use the VLC player. It has an option to open multiple instances simultaniously. (Tools/Preferences/Interface settings → uncheck “Allow only one instance”)
  2. Also you can provide to the operator directly the rtsp stream of the desired camera(s). You can ubtain it easily via “Onvif Device Manager” . The operator just have to paste it (VLC/Media/Open Network stream) and can watch as many isntances as needed.

I hope this works for you.

About your second question, you can also achieve that, by adding that operator(s) in a separate role and give permissions to see only these 16 cameras. So when the operator logs in the ONVIF Device Manager will see only the cameras, that has rights for.

Hi Magdaline

Thank you for your feedback. Actually, we were looking to provide the 16 Streams in one window like in video client 4x4 view as an example.

Hi Elivert, unfortunately for Onvif Brige Server these are the possible solutions.

The other option is to create a view in the smart client with the required cameras and to watch it in the Web Client. It is a platform independent, so gives more flexibilities in some way than the Smart client.
