ONVIF hardware acceleration not working

I got a frustrating bug where I could see my ONVIF camera in management client but not in the in the Smart Client. The PTZ in the Smart Client was working.

After going completely bananas, I tried turning off the hardware acceleration and to my suprise was able to see the camera.

Want my hardware specs?

Please seek guidance in the Support Community when it comes to the Smart Client not working.

Could you please try to run the Smart Client, enable the diagnostics overlay and see if it shows pictures and what kind of hardware acceleration decoding it reports?

Do your other cameras work fine in this installation? (Hoping you have other cameras for the comparison but I realize you might not have it.)

If you try another client PC (other hardware) does it behave the same?

What product and version is your XProtect?

Hi Bo!

Notice how the right image has acceleration on GPU and the left image says “arret” which means stop. The left image is onvif

Yes, just the onvif not working

If you try another client PC (other hardware) does it behave the same?

Does not behave the same but I think the other system does not have a graphics card

What product and version is your XProtect?

2018R1 Essential+
