ONVIF PROTOCOL PROFILE

Hi Everyone, I want to know if milestone support the RTSP and RMPS and what profile protocol ONVIF can be used to configure it?

Hi Dario,

yes, all our XProtect versions are fully ONVIF compliant.

See:

https://www.milestonesys.com/solution-partners/supported-hardware/xprotect-corporate-and-xprotect-expert/?dp=77&m=78 (https://www.milestonesys.com/solution-partners/supported-hardware/xprotect-corporate-and-xprotect-expert/?dp=77&m=78) https://www.milestonesys.com/solution-partners/supported-hardware/xprotect-corporate-and-xprotect-expert/?dp=77&m=78" target="_blank

In such page you will see that our 2-16 channel ONVIF driver states that version 1.xx and 2.xx supported, that the driver is Profile S Conformant and that there is a limitation in the sense that it can not autodetect if you are using an IPV6 address.

Moreover, see the ONVIF complicancy:

Application Type: “Client”

Manufacturer: Milestone Systems A/S

Nevertheless, I am not sure what you mean with RMPS, please explain.

Note that the devices (cameras, encoders,..) will also have to be fully ONVIF compliant. You can check this in the mentioned website.

The different streaming methods allowed in the 1 channel ONVIF driver (tested against an Axis P1344) are:

  • RTP/UDP
  • RTP/RTSP/TCP
  • RTP/RTSP/HTTP/TCP
  • HTTP snapshot
  • RTP/UDP multicast
